The company Argento Jewellery had kindly put forward a sponsorship deal for Junior Canoe Polo.
€30000 over 3 years €10000 in 2016, 2017, 2018 5 clubs will receive €2000 each year
Clubs must enter 3 divisions in both the Argento Cup (30th of September 2017) and the Kilcock junior competition (15th of May 2017). Divisions are under 12, under 14, under 16 and under 19. Players must play in the correct age groupings. The cut off point is defined below.
i. “The last year an Under-19 competitor can compete is in the year that his/her nineteenth birthday (19th) birthday falls in”.
i. For example if your 19th birthday is in 2016 you are not Under-19 in 2017. If your 19th birthday is from January 1st 2017 onwards you are Under-19 for 2017.
If there are more than 5 clubs entered, the €2000 will go to the clubs with the highest points at the end of the two competitions.
Points system 1 point for each team entered 2 points for 5th place in division, 3 points for 4th place in division, 4 points for 3rd place in division, 6 points for 2nd place in division, 8 points for 1st place in division Pete Boyle and Patricia McCormack will keep records of the points system. This money must be spend on junior canoe polo. A report on how the sponsorship is spent is a requirement of accepting the grant.
