Congratulations to all the teams who took part in the 2023 Junior International Championship at Let’s Go Hydro Resort.

Particular mention to the following Irish and Northern Irish teams – Ulster 1 U14 (First ), Ulster U21W (First), Mullingar U18W (Second). Congratulations to the GB U21 team (with 3 Ulster players) who won the U23 division.

Overload is a national training camp for Junior Canoe Polo players from around Ireland.  Mullingar Harbour will host young players aged 8 and over on August 26th and 27th for two days of skill development, meeting new friends and having fun.

Well done to everyone who took part in ICUPS 2023, over the weekend 15/16 April at the Let’s Go Hydro Resort in Belfast/Carryduff.

It was a great weekend and fantastic to see so many students (and former students) taking part in the event.

Congratulations in particular to Technological University Dublin who came first in the Gold, Women’s and Freshers categories and University College Dublin, who came first in the Silver category.

Club Champs – 8/9 July, hosted by Mullingar Harbour Canoe Polo Club

Irish Open – 16/17 September, hosted by Kilcock Canoe Polo Club

Details of the competitions will be posted at a later date. A big thanks to Mullingar and Kilcock for agreeing to host.

The National Canoe Polo Commitee has agreed the dates for the Irish Club Championships and Irish Open for 2023, as follows:

• Irish Club Championships – 8/9 July 2023

• Irish Open – 19/20 August 2023

The Committee is now seeking proposals from Clubs who are interested in hosting each event.

If your Club is interested an hosting the event, please email comps@canoepolo.ie with your proposal by 10pm on Wed 8 February 2023.

Details of the Clubs selected to host the events will be published by the end of February 2023.
