Irish Open 2020

The Irish Open is the flagship competition run by Canoe Polo Ireland.  It is open to National teams and takes place on the 5th and 6th of September, 2020.
After the success of last years Irish International Open it will be held again at the Knockbracken Reservoir in Belfast.

Belfast Kayak Academy have spent the last number of years developing their venue that now has 4 full sized regulation pitches. Glamping and camping facilities a cafe and restaurant are all on site all operated through Lets Go Hydro. They have an excellent spectators stand where fans and spectators can site and enjoy the best of Irish Canoe Polo as well as a drive in cinema for evening entertainment.

We would welcome Junior teams with young players (Under 15) to enter a special Under 15 division using the registration form below.

This competition will abide by the current ICF rules.

Each player may only play on one team in either Division 1, 2 or 3, or U15 and team composition must be finalised before the competition starts.


We want this to be an enjoyable but safe event and we will all have a responsibility to adhere to government guidelines.

A detailed protocol will be issued to all participants in advance of the event.

All participants will be required to complete  a screening/contact tracing form


Accommodation is available on site with Lets go Hydro with options for camping and glamping pods that can accommodate up to 6 individuals.

Cost: €125 per team including Development Levy (Special rate for U15 teams €50)
