Belfast Kayak Academy
Belfast Kayak Academy (BKA) was founded in 2012 with the aim to increase junior participation in paddlesports. Their main activity is Canoe Polo – playing as the Ulster Canoe Polo Club.
Male and female members of the club play at international level in Canoe Polo for both the UK and Ireland.
The club started on the banks of the River Lagan, but has now moved to dedicated indoor facilities at Ormiston House in East Belfast and outdoor facilities at Knockbracken Reservoir in Carryduff, where they share the site with the LetsGoHydro Aquapark.
In 2019, BKA hosted the Junior Canoe Polo International, attracting 34 canoe polo teams from all around the world.
